Beauty inspo of March ’20!

¡Hola Guapas y Guapos!

These are my favourite make-up looks I saw on IG last month. I am absolutely obsessed with the look of @vanessa_gyimah! The green combined with the red is so stunning, without giving a Christmas vib . I hope you love it as much as I do!

Fashion inspo of March ’20!

¡Hola Guapas y Guapos!

Here are my favourite outfits I’ve seen on the Gram last month. I loooooove the oversized white blazer look. It’s a must have staple piece for this summer, because it’s an item that will look good with almost anything. You can style the blazer with jeans, cycling shorts, sneakers, slipper, heels and about everything else you want to style it with. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

9 Steps To An Easy At Home Facial!

¡Hola Guapas y Guapos!

We’re probably stuck at home for awhile due to the Corona virus. This means a lot of free time at home and unfortunately no hair, nails or facial appointments. I’ve been seeing some funny memes going around about how we would look after the lockdown is over. To avoid looking like a total Gremlin when the lockdown is over here is my guide to an easy at home facial, that you can do up to two times a week.

  1. Double cleans your skin. (Firstly I cleans my skin using a konjac sponge with my oil-mix containing tea tree oil, baobab oil and jojoba oil. As a second cleanser I use the Kiehl’s Centella Sensitive Facial Cleanser)
  2. Steam your face for about 10-15 minutes. Boil water and put it in a bowl or pan. Don’t put it in a plastic bowl, you don’t want the plastic molecules steaming your face. You can add your favourite oil to the steaming water if you want to (I like to add tea tree oil). Drape a towel over your head, so it ‘falls’ down on the sides of your head and the bowl with steaming water, ‘trapping the steam’. Place your face close enough to the steaming water, but not too close, otherwise you might burn yourself.
  3. Extract white heads and black heads using a paper tissue. Be very gently with this, because you don’t want to damage your skin. And never, never, never ever do this with your nails or bare finger tops.
  4. Apply a face mask that is suitable for your skin type. (I usally use the double glow peel mask and the quenching mineral mask from Vichy)
  5. Use a toner to seal off the pores. If toner is too harsh for your skin you can skip this step or use micellair water.
  6. Apply a serum to deliver a strong shot of ingredients directly into your skin. (I use the Thermal Rehydrating Serum from Vichy)
  7. Apply your eye cream. The skin around your eyes is very thin and needs lots of moisture too! (I use the Aquaporin Active Revitalising Eye Care from Eucerin)
  8. Moisturize your face, because we all know by now moisturize is key. Even if you have oily skin it is still very important to moisturize your face (of course with a moisturizer for oily skin), because this can actually help extreme oiliness. (I use the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Deep Moisture Balm)
  9. And last but not least apply a lip balm to your lips. (I use the Intensive Lip Balm from Eucerin)

If you use an overnight face mask, you can apply the face mask before or after you’ve applied the serum. If you have any more questions or just want to share your at home facial experience please let me know!

P.S. I want to point out that I am fully aware that not being able to get a facial or your nails done is a luxury problem.

Beauty inspo of January ’20!

¡Hola Guapas y Guapos!

After 237 days, we’ve finally come to the last day of January! My inspo of the month series are back in 2020. Lately I’ve been seeing the ‘soft glam’ trend on the Gram, which I absolutely love! But, I still love a good pop of colour here and there. So, here are my favourite make up looks I’ve come across on IG in the last month. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Barbie Pink!

Hola Guapas y Guapos!

In my last post I talked about stepping out of my comfort zone. And because life starts when the comfort zone ends, I kept pushing myself out of my comfort zone and used PURPLE. Yep, that’s right purple (keep in mind I never use purple and don’t even have any purple clothes). But I must say, I’m quite happy with the outcome. I don’t like a heavy eyelook with a bold lip colour, so I opted for a nude pinky lip to complete the look.

About the application: start with a soft pink or peachy shade as the transition colour. Use lights blending motions to apply all the crease colours, so that you can gently ‘build up’ the colours, instead of heaving too much pink on your crease at once.

If you have any questions about application of products or anything else, please let me know and I will respond as soos as possible!

Bold Red Lip!

¡Hola Guapas y Guapos!

It’s been a long time time, I shouldn’t have left you. Without a dope look to step to. But I’m finally baaaaaack! You know I loovvveeee a nude lip, but I stepped out of my comfort zone and switched things up with this bold red lip. With any bold lip colour I prefer to keep my eye make up simple, otherwise the look becomes too much.

About the application: scrub your lips to prevent any dry pachtes or flakes, you don’t want to look like a hot mess. After that put a lip primer or a light lip balm on your lips to prep them. This will ensure that your lips stay moisturized throughout the day. The key is to then draw out your lips with a lipliner. If you mess up the lipliner, don’t worry, clean it up with a concealer that has the same shade as your skin tone. Then add a thin layer of a liquid lipstick to your lips and let it dry. Try not to move your lips too much whilst drying, so the liquid lipstick won’t and can dry properly.

If you have any questions about application of products or anything else, please let me know and I will respond as soos as possible!

Chique Emerald Green!

¡Hola Guapas y Guapos!

It was time to switch my make up game up and leave the warm orange/red colours behind! I’ve had this look in my mind for a while and couldn’t wait do finally do it. This look is perfect for the evening. But if you wanna be a Fancy Nancy and wear it during the day, that is absolutely fine too. Let me know what you think of this look and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

About the application: with this look it’s very important that you choose the right eyeshadow colours for in the crease. Personally I wouldn’t go for green in the crease, because that will be just too much green! I prefer going for a transition colour that is close to your skin tone. After the transition colour apply some (cold) browns in the crease and dark grey and/or black in the outer corner of the eye. And remember always start with the lightest colour and end with the darkest. Apply the lid colour with a wet brush to make the eyeshadow really pop.
